It is common practice to prevent a goat’s horns from growing with the use of a hot iron when they are quite small. Having never been able to bring ourselves to do this, our little goats born at home keep their horns. They do know how to wield them, but mostly use them to scratch an itch with great precision, or sometimes to threaten the pigs. I think they are lovely.
